"Brussels to India"

After having a few beers, I  didn't want much to eat, just a bit of sleep. Again the flight was excellent, lots of hot towels to wash up with. Surprised, we even got ice cream! So Brock took a picture to prove it. Before we landed they came through the plane and sprayed the cabin full of some kind of spray "to kill germs" (H1N1 scare). The spray smelled like melting crayons and we covered our faces as they walked up and down the aisles. Once landed, we walked out onto the tarmac to get to the bus to take us to the terminal. No problem getting through customs. Lots of machine gun carrying guards. Very, very smoggy, even at 11:30 at night. Crazy, crazy busy. Beggars with small babies lying on the ground as we walked out of the gates. The Hotel Madonna rep was waiting for us with a sign. We had booked on line and requested an airport shuttle pick and I was relieved that they did not let us down. We walked a fair distance out of the terminal and jammed the bags in a very small car. Two guys wanted money for lifting (touching) the bags off the cart. Even at midnight the traffic is mad! I have never heard so many horns. Lanes do not seem to matter, cars, trucks and motorcycles dodge in and out, honking all the way. Trucks are painted and decorated up with murals and sayings. India looks like nothing I have ever seen. Our hotel is down an alley. Lots of dogs. Streets are dark, dirty but our room is pretty good. It is now 12:45 am November 3rd 2009. We have our bags in the room and have ordered a bit of food and some beers. Beer was good. Watched a bit of TV and crashed.
