"Pokhara"
A day of organizing trips, laundry etc. We walked around to the various shops to compare options and we finally booked paragliding for Saturday and two days of rafting starting on Sunday to arrive at Chitwan on Monday. All the safaris and activities were arranged at booking. We then did lunch at the Phewa Lake. I have decided I need to take it easy, no alcohol, continue with Cipro for another day. I feel better but still not 100%. Jocko and Alan both went for massages while Brock and I bought some clean clothes to tide us over until the laundry comes back. We took Ananda out for dinner to a steak house ( The Everest Steak House). We had massive steaks, mine was "Mexican". The waiter was one of the worst in the world and after he slammed almost everything on the table, Jocko took to mimicking him and pounded the table with everything he could get his hands on hahahaha! We then met up with many friends and ended up at the "Busy Bee" for a live rock band. It is also the headquarters for the Nepal motorcycle club, "Hearts and Tears" who have their bikes on display. Mostly the bikes are Royal Enfields which I have really become fond of, I have been taking photos of some of the nicer ones. We met a Canadian who bought one in Delhi and is touring around on it now. The bikes look the same as they did back in WWII, the style stayed the same up until the early 2000s when they made some changes. Turns out an Indian company bought the company from the English makers then later closed the UK division. The bar was cool, great to see a Nepali subculture of rocknroll kids, drunk, smoking and singing standards and GnR tunes.
