"Bahundanda to Chamje"
Brock hired a porter for $300.00 USD. I got up at 5 AM and watched the village and the sun awaken. Egg and cheese omelet on a chapatti then we hit the trail. Donkey trains, long hot climbs and we met many more people. Stopped for lunch in Jagat: Honey and jam with Tibetan chapatti. Views incredible as we scramble up a steep winding path, only inches from the edge and a drop down to the river possibly 1000 feet below. Saw cool black and white birds with very long tails. We had "Mountain Dew" and green oranges at the "Marco Polo" at the top of a long hill climb. Made it up to Chamje, to a huge waterfall and stayed at the "Rainbow View" that was on the edge of the cliff overlooking the falls. Feeling great but tired early at night. Had dinner with Luke and Lucy from the US, Steve from Australia and Claus and Paulie from Austria. We all sat together and had great conversations, it is so interesting to hear everyone's stories.
