"Chamje to Danagyu...no Dharapani"
Slept better. Tibetan bread with jam and honey and boiled eggs for breakfast. Last night I had potato, bean, and pumpkin curry with rice. It was good but so much I could not finish so Steve, who has been on the trail for a long, long time and has a very tight budget, picked my vegetables out and ate it all.
Our Porter is working out well, he is a good guy and his name is Ananda. He is giving us a lot of info and really looking after us at each stop. We hiked up the river on high cliffs, gaining altitude in the hot sun on many switch backs. We dropped down into the village of Tal in the district of Manang leaving Lamjung district. (Tal means "lake") It is on the river bank with a sand beach. Waterfalls coming down off the valley cliffs. We are meeting many of the same trekkers along the way. We gave Dexter and Larisa, a very young couple from the Yukon who have been trekking for months now, a dose of our Cipro. They had both been sick.
Lemon tea, garlic soup and yes! French fries for lunch.
We made it to Dharapani as Brock was fucked and could not go any farther. I worry that it will only get worse. We stayed the "Number Seven" in Dharapani instead of getting to Danagyu as we tentatively planned. I skipped dinner after having a couple of teas and a beer. I then went to bed early and actually slept and dreamt.
