November 1/2009 Log entry
"First Leg"
Left Barrie checked in at the airport before heading to Hooters for lunch with Mom, Kitty, and Hayley. I got them to just drop me off at the departure gates and I then passed through security with no problems. Alan and Brock had not checked in yet so I went to the bar for a beverage to wait. They soon passed by and joined me. We had 3 drinks and chatted excitedly before it was time to board. Jet Airways flight # AC 6006 left Toronto at 6:30ish. What a great flight. The plane was very clean with awesome looking Indian stewardesses wearing long yellow tunics and tight black pants. Curried chicken for dinner with red wine. Best food on a plane yet. I watched two movies, "The Hangover" (very funny) and "Harry Potter". They then served another meal of, fruit, yogurt, croissants, coffee etc.
We arrived in Brussels in the early morning and we went straight to the bar for a few "Stellas" where we met an Indian guy, very eager to show us his wedding album, it was best one I have ever seen. His wife was very, very pretty and we got the full story of his wedding, family, work etc.
Soon a girl from Philadelphia sat down with us and our new Indian friend. We chatted away until our boarding call. She had just spent 6 months in India and loved it but was on her way back home. She told us that she had been attacked twice by monkeys and we would need to watch out for them as well as rabid dogs! We finally left Brussels just after 10 am on Nov. 2/09. Flight to Delhi on Jet Airways was about 7 ¾ hours.
