November 9/2009 Log entry
"Danagyu to Chame"
Slept well. Had great oatmeal with apples and boiled eggs. Set off up the hill, feeling a bit sore. My toe continues to cause me grief but it's ok. It is a hard slog up but Alan and I blasted the whole way and got here early. I blasted off an email and then we enjoyed a cold coke before Brock and Ananda caught up. We all enjoyed a very hot shower, clean clothes etc. Walked to the hot springs which were very disappointing. We hoped to sit up to our necks and soak but we could only put our feet in. My toenail came loose, what a relief! We bought a small jar of Tiger Balm and hooked up our aching limbs. We checked out the whole village and found a very rundown pool hall of all things, lit with a small single bulb. Brock seems much better and much happier. He wants to push on and try to make Pisang.
