"Trials and Trails"
Hey Kitty
we are going up up again, through some very primitive medieval villages. Brock is doing much better. We are above and below the tree line and now in a deep valley with all the mountain peaks around us. All water and falls are freezing. It is very cold at night but the kitchens have wood stoves. We made it to Manage today..it is great after the last village. We have a great place with a mountain out our window and I got meat!!!! Yes a yak burger which was great. There is a small wood stove heated movie place and we just watched "into thin air" with free tea and popcorn very very weird... about 20 seats and big sheet for a screen....it is such a medieval town. I am struggling with a sore leg but made it 20kms today in less than 4 hours. We are rest day here with acclimatization hikes planned for tomorrow. I will write more tomorrow. It's like we went back 300 years to a ski village without all the ski snobs!
